    On hot summer days, the gorge trail in Tschagguns/Latschau is always a refreshing hike. In the summer months (opening times like Golmerbahn), you can explore the forest rope park Golm with various levels of difficulty. Tickets are available at the Golmerbahn ticket counters.

  • Directions

    The hike starts in the town center of Tschagguns and briefly leads uphill on the sidewalk of Latschaustrasse. Shortly after, the Säumerweg branches off to the left. At the end of the Säumerweg, follow the path across a meadow until you reach Rasafeistrasse. Now it goes along the Rasafeibach stream to the Lochmühle area. You will pass the recycling yard on the way there. Upon reaching Lochmühle, the gorge trail begins. Directly along the Rasafeibach stream, it goes uphill on an easy forest path until you come to a bridge. At the bridge, follow the signpost to the right and you will pass the old sawmill “Mülli Ferdi” in Latschau. This path takes you directly down to the reservoir in Latschau. Upon reaching the reservoir, you must decide whether you want to explore the forest rope park Golm. Tickets for this are available at the counter directly at the Golmerbahn; please turn left for it. If you want to continue the hike (without visiting the forest rope park Golm), please turn right and follow the lakeside path to the forest rope park Golm. Once there, follow the signpost over Kristakopf back to Tschagguns.

    Travel by train to Montafon

    From Bludenz station, the Montafon railway runs hourly (partially half-hourly). There are also direct connections from Lindau (Germany) and Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Take the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on the Montafonerstraße L188 to Tschagguns.
