Fancy a sunset tour on Lake Constance ?
Though the sport of stand-up paddleboarding grew from surfing in faraway Hawaii, Lake Constance is actually an ideal place for beginners to try out this sport. Head over to the “Ländle SUP” school and rental station at Kaiserstrand in Lochau for high-quality rental equipment and a wide range of courses and tours. Certified SUP instructors train, guide and ensure the necessary safety precautions.
A wide range of activities is on offer at Lake Constance including SUP sunrise tours and SUP sunset tours. One highlight, for example, is the guided SUP tour on the Alter Rhein (Old Rhine river), which leads through the primeval-forest-like vegetation of the Rhein Delta nature reserve. Initially, the Alter Rhein river is fast flowing but at about the midway point it becomes tamer until it flows into Lake Constance.
Stand-up paddling for advanced paddlers
A whitewater stand-up paddle tour on the Bregenzerach is a true challenge for more experienced paddlers. Unique in Austria, this offer was jointly developed by “Canyoning Team Vorarlberg” and “Ländle SUP,” which both contributed their respective expertise (experience in whitewater and SUP-specific know-how).
