Au-Schoppernau | Dörfer Trail
-
Höhenprofil
As its name suggests, the Dörferloipe trail runs through the two municipalities of Au and Schoppernau, with various access points and connections to other trails. It crosses the southern slopes of Au and Schoppernau, with at least one church tower—from Au, Rehmen, or Schoppernau—always in view. From the Au-Argenzipfel district, the Dörferloipe leads above Argenau and Wieden through the Äuele to Schoppernau, then to the hills of Gräsalp and through wooded areas to the romantic hamlet of Armengemach. From there, the trail crosses the Bregenzerachsteg in a loop through “Paradies” and then continues across open fields along the village center of Schoppernau back to the Äuele Forest toward Au-Neudorf. Via Kreuzgasse, you reach the Bregenzerache embankment and the underpass at the Kirchenbrücke. After passing the Reute pasture and Argenzipfel—or via the Argenbachsteg—you reach the Kanisfluhloipe (3).
Note: The trail is groomed only when snow conditions permit.
