    Feeling energetic and ready for a truly special experience? Then put on your headlamps and let’s go! The mountain hike starts at the Steffisalp-Express parking lot and follows the farm road below the railway uphill to the Wannenkopf. From there, turn right and continue to the Steffisalp-Express mountain station. 

    Once you reach the mountain station, head straight through the dew-kissed meadows along the signposted hiking trail toward the Wartherhorn. At the Wartherhorn Saddle, keep left and follow the trail for a few minutes to the summit. 

    The sky is already turning a faint orange before the sun slowly rises and its first rays begin to glimmer. As you watch this natural spectacle, you’ll be filled with a sense of wonder and freedom, feel your body fill with vitality, and breathe in the fresh air deeply. The descent follows the same route as the ascent. 

    Tip: Once you arrive at the top station of the Steffisalp Express (operating from 9:00 a.m.), you can use it to assist with the descent.
