  • Höhenprofil

Markanter Skiberg mit sehr schönen süd- und nordseitigen Abfahrten im Alpgebiet.

Even as you approach from the northwest, the towering Üntschenspitze dominates the landscape behind Schoppernau.

The starting point is the inn. From there, first cross the road and then follow the clearly visible path through the meadow into the forest, along which the Sommerweg trail runs. Continue along this trail until you reach the Üntschen forest road. Follow this trail to the Vorderüntschenalpe. Above the hut, keep to the left and ascend through a hollow toward the Häfnerjoch.

If snow conditions are uncertain, it is recommended to ascend to the ridge instead by turning right over the ridge above the Vorderüntschenalpe. From there, the route continues westward along the ridge—which is partially covered in snow—to the summit.

There are two options for the descent: Either follow the ascent route back in a southwesterly direction. In the upper section, steep, open slopes await before the trail leads back to Hopfreben via a farm road and through clearings. Alternatively, you can descend on the northeast side over steep slopes to the Pisialpe. From there, a forest road leads on to Schoppernau.
