Mellau | Schönenbach – Hittisau – Mellau

Extended gravel-bike tour from Mellau through Schönenbach to Hittisau and back to the starting point.

The almost 56-kilometre-long trip starts in Mellau with a ride through Bizau to the beautifully situated Schönenbach alpine settlement area. The trip continues on gravel roads to Sibratsgfäll and Hittisau and, from there, along the main road down to Lingenau. It takes a left after the Käsekeller (Cheese Cellar) and follows a freight trail down to the Bregenzerache river to the Achtal cycle path. The trip continues along this trail until it reaches Egg where it then becomes an asphalted cycle path. This path continues to Andelsbuch. The ascent to the Bezegg, the crossing to Bezau, commences there. And then the route carries on along the main road back to the starting point in Mellau.
