This tour for experienced cyclists is the classic tour in the Bregenzerwald.

From Mellau, you take the cycle path – which enjoys a largely wildly romantic backdrop – along the Bregenzerache to Au.
Following a short yet gruelling ascent on Damüls Straße, you turn off onto a forest path which is easy to cycle on and which takes you through a shady wood to the Edelweiß alpine inn. You now cycle over alpine terrain to Wurzachalpe at the foot of the Kanisfluh. The impressive Kanisfluh is home to around 70 Alpine ibexes as well almost 1,000 species of butterfly. You then go downhill to Alpe Kanis and on a single trail (note: this is also the hiking path!) to Roßstelle mountain station. From Roßstelle, an alpine path leads upwards to Wildguntenalpe. Cycle downhill on the forest path as far as the Mösle and then turn off to the left. On gently undulating terrain, you pass Bleichtenalpe and continue to the idyllically located Hauseralpe. Downwards as far as the Mellenbach, followed by a short, punishing ascent to the Lindachalpe in the Mellental. The pleasant gradient on the roadway lets you freewheel into the valley.

Die Mountainbike-Karte Bregenzerwald im Maßstab 1:50.000 inkl. 20 Top-Routen ist erhältlich in den örtlichen Tourismusbüros, bei Bregenzerwald Tourismus und in den Sportgeschäften.
