Directions
The cosy and scenic winter hike starts at the mountain station of the Kristbergbahn and leads along the winter hiking trail as well as the panoramic track downhill. In the Säga area, you turn right and follow the pink trail markings downhill into the Pfaua area.
The groomed winter hiking trail passes through light forest sections and past alpine huts, and after some time you reach the Stelzer exit point. Continuing straight ahead, it gently goes downhill to a small wayside shrine located slightly above the groomed trail. From here, wooden poles with pink markings are available.
Follow these and you will reach the Panoramagasthof Kristberg uphill. The snow-covered path leads uphill through the forest. After about 20 minutes, you arrive at the inn. Slightly above the inn is the St. Agatha Mountain Miners Chapel. It is worth taking a look inside. After a refreshment, you reach the starting point, the mountain station of the Kristbergbahn, after just a few minutes.
