Despite its steep grassy slopes, the trail near Egg is a popular, frequently used route. Thanks to the north-facing slopes, you’ll find consistently good snow conditions for quite a long time.

At the end of the parking lot, the trail first follows a winter hiking trail toward Eggartsberg Vorsäß. Soon after, you leave this trail, turn right and head uphill toward Falz Alpe, passing an alpine hut on the right, then crossing a ridge, followed by a short descent into a hollow. After crossing the hollow, the trail climbs quite steeply—sometimes through tight switchbacks—up through loose scrub and curves to the right past the Bühlen Alpe. Now, keeping to the right below the rocky cliffs of the summit massif, head uphill over steep slopes into a hollow and, via a passage, a few meters uphill to the summit plateau.
