Au | Skitour Brendler Lug

This easy, classic ski-touring route near Au, with its north-facing slopes and forest clearings, is most enjoyable in powder or fresh snow.

Follow the ski tow track uphill to the mountain station and continue a few meters further to the farm road that leads to the Bergkristallhütte. The trail is groomed for winter hikers and sledders. Follow the farm road until open slopes appear on the right. Head up these slopes to the right and, shortly afterward, veer slightly left through a forest clearing and continue up a steep slope. At the end of the steep ascent, keep to the right and head straight up over the ridge through sparse forest—mostly on a gentle incline—to the summit of the Lug.
