Take the cycle path as far as the roundabout in Bersbuch. Turn off towards Schwarzenberg, cycle through the village centre, past Hotel Hirschen and, after about 300 m, turn right into the narrow road. Now comes a windy, partially steep climb to Brittenberg. There is hardly any traffic on this little road, which affords breathtaking views. At the fountain, turn off to the right, continue for about 700 m on a plateau and then take a sharp left at the crossroads. The road meanders up as far as the Lorenapass (1,090 m), a traffic-free crossing between Schwarzenberg and Alberschwende. The narrow road and the many bends make the downhill run to Alberschwende demanding.

At the entry to the L 49 in Alberschwende, turn off to the left and continue for about 800 m, then turn off to the right once again. The narrow road meets the L 200 right at the bottom. Turn off to the left here, continue for about 100 m and turn off towards Farnach (L 15). After about 1.3 km, turn off to the right and take the road with leisurely climbs as well as downhill runs to Oberbildstein and Bildstein. Bildstein offers a fantastic view of the Rhine Valley, and Bildstein pilgrimage church attracts many pilgrims every year. Continue downhill towards Wolfurt, where you join the cycle path and continue to Kennelbach. Then turn on to the L 2 towards Langen, close to Bregenz. Leaving Langen, keep to the right and, at the Gasthof Zur Taube, turn off towards Sulzberg on the L 21. Accompanied by lovely views, follow the gently inclining road to Sulzberg. Enjoy the lovely view from Sulzberg village square, and stop for some refreshment at one of the lovely cafés and restaurants. The downhill run to Riefensberg/golf course is demanding. From the golf course, follow the L 205 towards Riefensberg, Krumbach, Langenegg and Lingenau. Approx. 200 m after the thermal baths in Lingenau, turn left at the crossroads and, after 50 m, turn right into a narrow street. Take the link road until you join the L 29 towards Egg-Großdorf. Take the Bregenzerwald cycle path as far as Bezau. There, turn off towards Reuthe and Bizau. At the end of Bizau, the approx. 3-km long climb to the Schnepfegg starts. It has steep stretches at the beginning. Make sure to take in the marvellous panorama on the Schnepfegg. The partially narrow road makes for a demanding downhill run to Schnepfau. Take the cycle path back to Au-Schoppernau.
