Hotel Post Bezau by Susanne Kaufmann

Step by step, hotel owner Susanne Kaufmann has carefully expended, transformed and rebuilt Hotel Post together with her brother, architect Oskar Leo Kaufmann. Traditional structures were retained and have been complemented by new elements for a mix of pure, clear design and a focus on the essential. The architecture of the hotel harmonises with the landscape of the Bregenzerwald.

From the interior design to the ingredients in the kitchen, nearly everything here is from the region. The first-class quality and the pure design of the Hotel Post Bezau make this a unique place of relaxation where you can truly let go. Susanne Kaufmann and hotel director Stephanie Rist wanted to create a mindful and inspirational place to experience a positive life and body transformation.

Awards

Modular construction was used to build the hotel. The architects received the 1997 “Vorarlberger Holzbaupreis” (Timber construction award) for their versatile system.

Already three times (2019, 2020 and 2021), the hotel was awarded with the World Spa Award as “Austria’s Best Wellness Retreat”.
