In 2027, the Montafon will serve as the venue for the largest winter sports event Vorarlberg has ever seen: the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships.
The Montafon region looks back on over a century of winter sports history. This history has been shaped by dedicated clubs, influential figures, and numerous sporting events. With the hosting of the 2027 FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships, the Montafon will host the largest winter sports event in Vorarlberg’s history to date. The region is thus continuing its long-standing development as a winter sports destination.
