The Hochjoch (Schruns) becomes the active territory and adventure area for all ages. Children can discover elements of Alpinism, there is a nature’s obstacle course and the forces of nature trail stations will teach about the mountain elements.
In the Alpine World Nova, young and old can experience the animal world and learn interesting facts about cows and the Montafon Steinschaft sheep. With a milk can slide, wobbly sheep, a mud playground and other games, fun is garantied. The “Four Barga” (four huts) themed trail provides information on 3-stage agriculture and children can immerse themselves in everyday life on the alp at the play stations.
Equipped with helmets and harnesses, and supervised by experts: For family outings with a touch of adventure, there are a number of forest adventure courses and high-rope courses to choose from. Abseiling, climing, crossing a free-hanging net ninja warrior style or balancing on a rope bridge are special outdoor experiences. No prior experience is necessary. Slide all the way down on extra-long slides—that’s what the Waldrutschenpark at Golm in Montafon offers. There are seven slides to choose from. They range from 30 to 62 meters in length and cover up to 500 meters in elevation.
The Alpine Coaster Golm in the Montafon region of southern Vorarlberg offers safe tobogganing fun with a thrilling downhill ride. And it’s open year-round—summer and winter alike—and in (almost) any weather. A fun-filled family outing in Vorarlberg is guaranteed.
Laterns offers everything for a varied day with the family: summer toboggan run, playground with trampoline and climbing rocks at the valley station. Up on the mountain, the sound playground invites visitors to explore and marvel at a sound marble run, motor skills scales, and a bell-jumping game. Stand up paddling is possible in several places on Lake Constance in Vorarlberg. The school and rental station on the Kaiserstrand in Lochau offers courses and tours. There are sunset and Rhine delta tours on the Bregenzerache for advanced hikers. SUP, windsurfing , SUP yoga – it’s all possible in Hard’s inland pool at Surfmax.
Downhill fun for the whole family at two places. Vorarlberg’s longest mountain cart route is in Gargellen and offers 6 km of driving fun. On monster scooters or mountain karts, you can drive downhill on a 3 km long route in Brandnertal.
Equipped with a neoprene suit, helmet and climbing harness, you head into the gorge. After jumping into the water, slides, climbing and abseiling at the waterfall follow. Children from the age of eight can take part in the mini canyoning family tour. The Teenie-canyoning-Tour is for young people aged 12 and over.
