Family Outing

An Eventful Day in Bregenz

In the capital of Vorarlberg, families with children of all ages will find plenty to discover on this outing.

City, Country, and Lake Constance

Soar over the rooftops of Bregenz on the Pfänderbahn, get up close and personal with native animals at the Alpine Wildlife Park, and breathe in the Lake Constance air on a boat tour: In the capital of Vorarlberg, there’s plenty for families with children of all ages to discover on this outing. Let yourself be surprised!

  • The tour starts and ends at the Bregenz Harbor. The most comfortable way to get there is by train; for those driving, parking garages (Bregenz Harbor or GWL City Center) are also available nearby.
  • These tips can be combined into either a half-day or a full-day excursion.
  • Suitable for children ages three and up; even younger children can enjoy the tour—for example, through the Alpine Wildlife Park on the Pfänder—while in a baby carrier or stroller.
  • The boat ride and the visit to the vorarlberg museum are fun even in inclement weather!

TIP: Admission and discounts with the V-CARD
Round-trip rides on the Pfänderbahn are covered by the V-CARD. Vorarlberg Lines offers V-CARD holders a discount on sightseeing cruises in Bregenz Bay. A one-time admission to the vorarlberg museum is also included with the V-CARD.
