Beautiful mountain hike to the Totalp Hut with great views of the Lünersee and the surrounding mountains.

The tour starts at the valley station of the Lünersee cable car and begins with a small challenge, the “Böser Tritt”. But this is no problem for sure-footed hikers. Alternatively, you can shorten this section with the Lünersee cable car. After the first ascent, you reach the Lünersee. The trail leads to the right along the Lünersee circular trail to the sign (no. 91.100). From here, head right upwards along the magnificent rock massif for the last few metres in the direction of the Totalp Hut. Return via the same path or via a somewhat more direct descent to the Lünersee. From the mountain station, take the Lünersee cable car for the last few metres down into the valley.

The path to the hut is also easily manageable for older mountain enthusiasts and children. The Beck family and team will spoil you with many delicacies from the Austrian cuisine as well as with their own specialities. From the hut you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the Silvretta and Verwall groups.

The ascent to Lünersee via Bösen Tritt is not recommended outside the summer season—snow and ice often make it dangerous. You can find the current conditions on the webcams.

Variant with summit ascent to Schesaplana (additional 3 h walking time)From the Totalp Hütte it is still about 2 hours to climb the highest mountain in the Rätikon, the Schesaplana. The descent takes place on the same path back to the Totalp Hütte.
