Höhenprofil
Talents abound in Langenegg. And you can even use some of them to pay with! Because the village has its very own currency: the “talent”. It has experienced amazing progress recently. Thanks to the commitment of its inhabitants, two separate villages have grown into one community. The most visible symbol of this is the new village centre made up of new houses of silver fir. People here get really passionate when it comes to the climate and the environment, too: the e5 village has implemented over 200 documented measures for the protection of the environment, which has gained it an international energy award.
On each walk, information columns draw attention to a building, to the special features of the cultural landscape, to artisanal or ecological details, to facets of artistic, culinary or touristic works.
Please press the button on the information column.
The village has its own “energy portals”, with energy being understood in the wider sense, including as power which reveals new experiences.

Directions
Starting off at the fire station (the villagehall), you go up the stone steps to the right, which are covered by three wooden portals. These indicate the start of the energy portal walk which you now follow for a while. This takes you, in order, to the herb, sun, wind, energy and water portals. Once you have come to the end of this informative trail, you come to an asphalt road where you now turn off to the right (uphill). You soon arrive at hiking board 47.03, where you head towards “Kirchdorf” to the right. You keep going in this direction at board 47.02. At the next crossing, keep to the left and follow the yellow-and-white marking. In “Hampmann” (47.12) you turn downhill and continue towards the destination of“Kirchdorf”. Taking a footpath through a meadow, you finally arrive at the parish church in Langenegg. To return to the village centre, you initially follow the road on the pavement. Once you reach the “Kirchdorf” bus stop, you now hike up the road to the right. You come across the road you took on the way there, and now turn left for the return journey. At signpost 47.02, you walk back to the village centre. A short detour to the left takes you to the village’s alpine dairy. You then return to the village hall.
