  • Directions

    The route starts in the center of St. Gallenkirch and leads down the path below the tourist office to Illweg. There, turn left and follow Illweg downstream to the Garfrescha Bahn valley station. You cross the parking lot and continue along the Ill downstream to Blendolmaweg. At the Malin sawmill turn left and follow the path up to the main road. You have reached Gortipohl. On the way back, you can either take the same route or use the public bus (line 85).

    The regional buses operate throughout the Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns station.

    Arrival by train to Montafon

    From Bludenz station the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partially every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (Germany) and from Bregenz.

    Approach:

    Drive on the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to St. Gallenkirch.
