  • Höhenprofil

The imposing Kanisfluh, which towers over the Bregenzerwald with its steep north face rising over 1,200 meters, offers a surprisingly beautiful—though at times steep—ski tour on its south side.

At the Argenbach Bridge, after about 100 meters, turn right uphill next to the road. Cross the open ridge to the left of the Leue Bach and head uphill through the Auer Ried to the uppermost clearings. There, keep to the right and continue along the path, which branches off into the farm road. Follow this farm road comfortably to the Alpengasthof Edelweiß. To the right of the inn, follow the summer trail, then turn right across the small stream. Continue northward up a steep ridge to the saddle between Hoher Stoß and Holenke. Follow the broad ridge to the summit. The slope leading to the summit is often wind-swept. If it’s icy, crampons can be very helpful.
