Just below the trail you came up on, another path branches off. This leads to the Obere Gaisbühel Alpe. From there, you continue past the Rotschrofenbahn mountain station to the Mohnenfluhsattel. Even here, you’ll be treated to an impressive view of the turquoise-colored Butzensee—the next stop on the route.Tip for summit enthusiasts: If you’re up for an extra challenge, you can climb to the summit of the Mohnenfluh from here. The ascent is steep and involves an additional 225 meters of elevation gain, but it’s rewarded with a breathtaking view of Schröcken, the Körbersee, and the surrounding mountains. The ascent and descent follow the same trail, so you can then rejoin the main route.From the saddle, the trail continues downhill to Butzensee, and you’ll hike along its shore.Tip: Lake Butzensee is perfect for a refreshing dip!After you’ve walked halfway around the lake, a trail leads downhill, passing under the Steinmähderbahn, until you reach a farm road. Follow this road down into the valley. Passing the Hasensprungbahn mountain station, the trail leads past the Gipslöcher and continues past the Kriegeralpe to the Weibermahd mountain station.From there, a trail branches off to the right, leading to the base of the Petersbodenbahn. There, the trail turns left and eventually leads to the Schlößle district in Oberlech. From Schlößle, follow the paved road uphill for about 500 meters toward Skyspace-Lech. At the fork in the trail, continue straight ahead on a farm road, which shortly thereafter splits into a wide path and a narrower one. The narrower path leads through a small ravine and across the Gizzibach stream before you finally reach the Untere Gaisbühel Alpe again—and thus the starting point of this loop trail."}
