Via the Alte Salzstra\u00dfe\u2014a somewhat narrow path\u2014you\u2019ll reach the valley station of the J\u00e4geralp-Express. From there, a trail continues on to the Hochtannberg Pass. Here, you\u2019ll park your bike and continue the hike on foot.&nbsp;On the opposite side of the road, follow the trail straight up\u2014to the right of the Krumbach\u2014to the Widdersteinh\u00fctte. Behind the Widdersteinh\u00fctte, the trail continues to the Widderstein. Passing the Widderstein\u2019s southwest summit, the trail continues to the Widderstein.&nbsp;Once on the Widderstein, you\u2019ve earned a well-deserved break, during which you can enjoy the breathtaking view.&nbsp;On the way back, turn right at the fork in the trail and continue along the path; with a stunning view over the Hochalpsee, the route continues over the Seekopf and the Hochalppass down to the Hochtannberg Pass.&nbsp;Once you reach the Hochtannberg Pass, hop back on your bike and follow the main road for a few meters to the Salober parking lot. From there, a farm road leads you to the Salobersattel and on to Auenfeld.
