It begins at an altitude of 1,793 meters near Lake Formarin and ends at an altitude of around 800 meters in Füssen in the Allgäu. The Lechweg therefore leads from the high mountains to the Alpine foothills. The majority of the trail has a gentle gradient. Nevertheless, there are also some steeper sections to tackle. Depending on your fitness level and individual travel planning, three different stage divisions are therefore possible. Of course, additional overnight stays can be booked in each stage location.
