The copper boiler in the entrance already gives you a culinary clue - an alehouse with panorama windows affording a view of the new Montforthaus right at the foot of the Schattenburg. The hearty dishes are part of the ambience as is the large screen which attracts the crowds during the Champions League. The rear part of the restaurant offers enough space for a quiet, protected drink, and you can lean on the old town walls. At least, that is what it feels like, since it acts as part of the demarcation in the beer garden.
