The farmer Markus Christa built in 1973 on his private property this chapel in honor of the Blessed Virgin. With the construction of the place of worship, he dissolved a long-standing vow out of gratitude for twice the miraculous life-saving. Reinhold Kohl from Mittelberg carved the statue of Our Lady, the chalice is a gift from neighbors Edith and Gerda Fontain. “This chapel is a source of grace, as clear as mountain water,” were the words of Rev. Dr. Josef Ruß at the inauguration on October 27, 1973. Today, the chapel hides on Rohrweg behind dense tree cover.
