Freihof Sulz restaurant and event centre

This country inn in the Rheintal valley has enjoyed an eventful history. The core of the building dates back to 1796, as is reflected in its vaulted cellar, and the current design was realised around the year 1900. From the 1950s on, the inn visibly deteriorated and ultimately served as lodgings for guest workers.

A cutting-edge overhaul and an unconventional culinary concept infused this historic inn with new life. This fresh approach involved handling the existing features with care and respect: the unique identity of this new business concept is reflected in modern touches that are readily apparent but never seek to dominate. The restaurant and the organic shop are also complemented by facilities for seminars and cultural events as well as individual treatment studios.
