From 14 September to 6 October, everything revolves around enjoyment during the “Herbst.Genuss.Zeit” weeks in the Großes Walsertal and Kleinwalsertal valleys. In mountain huts, from innkeepers or at culinary events, enjoy palate pleasers with high-quality, natural products and discover your personal moments of pleasure in autumn.
02 Delightful on Genießerberg Kristberg
Together with Harry, you set off on a search for mushrooms and herbs at Genießerberg Kristberg in Montafon. Afterwords you prepare a delicious meal with your findings at the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
03 Freikochen with Thorsten Probost
Thorsten Probost has been cooking in the Arlberg region for almost 20 years. “Nature is the architect of my kitchen,” he says. Therefore, he only uses first-class products from local suppliers. Every Wednesday in July you can discover, explore, experience and taste the mountain with Thorsten Probost.
04 Gourmet cruise aboard the Hohentwiel paddle steamer
If you want to travel Lake Constance in style, why not embark on a cruise on the painstakingly refurbished Hohentwiel paddle steamer? There is a choice of various themed cruises, including gourmet cruises with a 5-course meal, a captain’s dinner, a jazz brunch and English afternoon tea with sandwiches and scones.
05 Krumbach moor inns in the Bregenzerwald
In Krumbach, a hiking trail invites guests to explore the local moor landscape. Fittingly, four local inns have made the moor the theme of culinary excellence, using plants, berries and herbs to refine both food and drinks.
In the summer (01.06., 06.07., 03.08., 07.09.) the four Krumbach moor inns invite guests to join a dawn walk on the moor with a hearty breakfast as a reward. The tour starts at 6:00 in the morning; breakfast is ready from 8:00. Price: EUR 25 per person.

06 Sommerkulinarium in Großes Walsertal
The Culinary Summer Days at the Grosses Walser biosphere park combine a hike with a set three-course meal which is served at three different sites. On the four-hour itinerary, you walk from the mountain terminal of the Sonntag-Stein cableway to several alps. The three-course meal is available at EUR 30 per person, drinks and cable-car ride excluded.
07 Gourmet valley hike Kleinwalsertal
With the delicious taste of Walser-style tapas on your lips, embark on a journey through fragrant meadows with a view of the Walser Schafalpköpfe mountains. The main course, a feast for the palate, will be well deserved following a leisurely hike. Continue onwards along the Schwarzwasserbach stream, past waterfalls and streambeds to arrive in time for dessert: grandmother’s homemade Kaiserschmarrn shredded pancakes with apple sauce.
08 Fischteich Lech fish pond
This fish pond is located in the heart of the Zugertal valley on the Lech stream at the edge of the forest. All are welcome to rent fishing equipment here. Entry to the pond is free and best of all: If so desired, the catch can be prepared in the kitchen at the pond.

09 Hike to Alp Nova and tasting of Montafon Sura Kees
The tour takes just three hours from the mountain station of Garfrescha Bahn via Gantekopf (1,958 m) to Alp Nova. There, Andrea Wieser, the dairywoman, explains how cow milk is processed into Montafon Sura Kees. Every Tuesday from July to the beginning of September.
10 Culinary Hiking in Brandnertal
This leisurely hiking with three culinary delights is available in two different versions and guides you through the beautiful montain scenery of the Brandnertal.
11 Culinary hike in the Bregenzerwald
In the Bregenzerwald, you can embark on a culinary hike on different routes. The day packages can be booked with the Bregenzerwald tourist office and include breakfast, lunch and dessert. As you walk from course to course, the meals are served at three different mountain inns and restaurants; walking times range between 3.5 and 4.5 hours.
12 Gourmet hike and cooking on the alp
An informative pleasure walk takes visitors to stables and barns, gourmet inns and scenic picnic sites. Under the motto “From pasture to plate“ you will see and learn where the regional delicacies are sourced and be able to taste an array of local delicacies.
