The Bregenzerwald ski region distinguishes itself through its varied ski areas for both experts and novices. The distances between the ski areas are short. Ski busses make for a comfortable and environmentally friendly journey to the ski areas.

NEW! In winter 2009/2010, the interconnected Damüls-Mellau ski area will open its slopes to the skiers. A new cabin ropeway starting in Mellau connects the two ski areas. The ropeway takes the skiers from Mellau, which is centrally located in the valley, to the Hohe Wacht peak at an altitude of 2,060m. Besides the connection of the south-facing slopes of Damüls and the north-facing slopes of Mellau, new slopes have also emerged.
