Family-friendlyness is a hallmark of holidays in Vorarlberg. In view of the success of previous years, Bregenzerwald and Montafon are offering regional family packages again

Offered again in the winter of 2009/10, the "Kinderschnee" package allows families with children to spend super-saver winter holidays in the Bregenzerwald/Vorarlberg. Special rates for families with children apply between 6.-20. March 2010 if a booking is made for at least 7 nights in the company of at least one adult. During these two weeks children aged 3 to 6 (born 2003/2004/2005) receive free ski passes and may attend a four-day ski course free of charge. In the participating resorts, the local tourist offices arrange for a number of special events for children such as lantern hikes, farmhouse visits or tobogganing outings. Other sites which hold an appeal for children are the Igloo Land in the Bregenzerwald, the Adventure Land on Diedamskopf, the lantern hikes for children with winter-world stories in Andelsbuch, and the fast-track ski course offered by the ski school in Schwarzenberg-Bödele, where children learn to negotiate a practice run on their own after four hours of one-to-one tuition.

"Family-friendly Montafon" is the motto from March 13 to end of winter season, 2010 in the Montafon. Children born 1998 and later will be put up free of charge in the room of their parents and are entitled to a free ski pass, provided that at least on parent books a stay for the same period and buys a ski pass for the Montafon ski arena of at least 5 days. Note that landlords may charge for food and drink. Families should ask their landlord for a voucher for a discounted ski pass. During that period, ski schools in the Montafon offer low-budget courses for children.
