Award-winning! Naturhotel Chesa Valisa in the Kleinwalsertal
In early 2008, the German magazine GEO SAISON selected Europe’s best hotels from a short-list of 90 candidates. The panel of experts awarded the first rank in the category “family hotels” to Naturhotel Chesa Valisa in Hirschegg in the Kleinwalsertal. Katja Senjor, GEO SAISON editor and expert on travelling with kids, writes: “Free all-terrain buggies and a philosophical innkeeper. This hotel is so relaxed in the way it treats families – even though it does not really care much for this type of label”. For Klaus and Sieglinde Kessler, the Chesa Valisa is a nature hotel for guests who appreciate unspoilt natural surroundings, sensible nutrition and vitality programmes. The farmhouse is 500 years young and enjoys a plum position on a mountain side. In recent years, the Kesslers had parts of the building carefully redesigned in the style of contemporary Vorarlberg architecture (www.naturhotel.at).
