Safety off-piste

How to behave sensibly in open terrain? Interested skiers will get valuable tips and hints at a conference, in safety camps, and at safety checks.

At the Safety-Days in Brandnertal, participants are given a basic knowledge of how to handle safety equipment. The participants will get an overview of the equipment as well as snow and avalanche awareness. The Safety-Days are organized by the guides of BergAKTIV Brandnertal.

The VÖLKL Freeride Days take place in Kleinwalsertal. The camp for freeriders in January! Ideal for those who already have experience in freeriding. There will be a Völkl and Marker Freeride Ski Test Center on site with the latest models.

Warth-Schröcken  offers in March a free, 2-day avalanche seminar ‘SAAC Basic Camp’. In practice-oriented workshops, qualified mountain guides raise awareness among freeriders & and variant skiers about Alpine dangers away from the pistes. The participants learn how to analyse an avalanche location, the weather report and other matters, and how to correctly assess terrain, get tips on tour planning and how to use the requisite safety equipment.
